We took their "Irish Immersion Tour" and enjoyed the options of touring with the group or on our own as we saw fit. We did both, and came away with a real respect for all the details Tenon handled for us so we could just be ourselves in Ireland. I can't say enough about the excellent experience I had with Tenon Tours. The staff is extremely responsive and always eager to please and assist. Our June 2010 twelve-day self-drive trip to Ireland was a magical experience and Tenon Tours laid everything out so clearly and perfectly from the hotels to the car rental to the transportation details to the travel tips, everything. The hotels they booked for us in Dublin and Belfast were fantastic and centrally located. The trip was absolutely flawless. The whole time I kept commenting that this trip was just too easy! I'm still in awe over the whole experience. I cannot wait to work with them again in the future and tell everyone I know about my experience. Ireland itself was beautiful and amazing. The people were the nicest I've ever met. They're incredibly hospitable and helpful. I felt safe and welcomed the entire time I was there and we covered about 75% of the island's coast. The food exceeded my expectations and the early bird dinners are a great way to save money! The B&B options were more than abundant, always clean, and it was so easy to find B&Bs with wireless internet. I recommend them not only as a way to save money but simply for the unique experience. The infrastructure in Ireland is fantastic and I honestly never felt like I was in no man's land. Although the roads have good signage, you would be wise to invest in a GPS. All in all, Tenon Tours is an excellent representative of the country in which they specialize and you will not be disappointed with either.... MoreLess

Tenon Tours did a great job of taking a personal interest in tailoring a tour to meet my needs and those of my travel companion. We originally signed up for the Irish Immersion Tour, but ended up altering parts of the Tour so that we could go to some places that weren't on the original tour. In general, the service provided is for moderately experienced travelers. If you need someone walking you through every step of the way, you should find a tour with a 24/7 guide with you. If you're very experienced, you could definitely tour Ireland on your own without their assistance. The transportation was well timed and planned with a mix of public and private transfers between cities. The hotels were all very classy and usually centrally located. We traveled from St. Patrick's Day through the end of March in 2010 which is an off-peak season apparently. So we were disappointed when two of our pre-booked excursions were not running and we were not informed until we showed up for the tour that wasn't running. You're a phone call away if there's an emergency of some sort, but there's no one there that can help you as smaller problems arise. On the whole, Tenon Tours will put you in a good position to see Ireland for the first time. They know the popular cities to travel to, and have many excursions available to see the most popular sights in the country. I would strongly discourage anyone from booking a package without any excursions. They're a necessary addition to make the trip enjoyable and worthwhile.... MoreLess

This was our first trip to Ireland. We have traveled in many countries in organized and personally arranged itineraries. The Tenon Tours People exceeded our expectations in every category. The accomodations and transportation were excellent. The food was surprisingly good and reasonable and the restaurants were comfortable. We were delighted to find a small pub out in the countryside on one of our excursions where we enjoyed an impromptu performance of Irish music.
